You’re invited to visit Usch Spettigue’s Open Studios this June at her Rectory Cottage studio in Harkstead (near Ipswich). Discover her latest collection of stunning porcelain pots, meet Usch in person, and take a look around her unique potloft studio!

Open:

• Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th June 2025, 11 am – 5 pm

• Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th June 2025, 11 am – 5 pm

About the Work:

Usch creates functional, thrown porcelain, single-fired to 1260°C in an electric kiln. Explore pieces featuring sgraffito, inlay, or wax resist decorations, alongside works highlighting her creative use of slips and glazes for varied textures and vibrant colours.

Her recent work concentrates on pure form, showcasing a variety of large jugs and distinctive spherical pots with inturned tops. Working primarily in porcelain allows her to achieve the exceptionally strong colours characteristic of her high-fired clay creations.
